RTRS : India power min to seek more natgas for electricity
NEW DELHI, Aug 18 (Reuters) - India's will seek more natural gas for power generation to offset coal shortage and to cut emissions, the power minister said on Tuesday.
"I would also be taking up matter with ministry of petroleum and natural gas to allocate gas to support a capacity of about 15,000 MW in view of coal supply situation and to reduce our CO2 emission," Sushil Kumar Shinde said in a written speech prepared ahead of his address to an industry conference.
