BLBG : Indian Stocks Fluctuate; Glenmark Falls After Drug Tests
Aug. 19 (Bloomberg) -- India’s benchmark stock index fluctuated. Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd. rose after copper prices climbed, while Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. fell after it announced disappointing test results of a drug.
The Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensitive Index, or Sensex, fell 19.46, or 0.1 percent, to 15,015.80 at 10:00 a.m. in Mumbai. The gauge swung between gains and losses at least five times. The S&P CNX Nifty Index on the National Stock Exchange lost 0.1 percent to 4,453.25. The BSE 200 Index advanced 0.1 percent to 1,844.97.
