NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures climbed on Tuesday pointed to a higher start for Wall Street, with equities investors taking in stride Ben Bernanke's renomination as chairman of the Federal Reserve, along with data showing a 1.4% rise in home prices in June. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 53 points to 9,546. Those for the S&P 500 added 6.2 points to 1,030.7, while Nasdaq 100 futures gained 8.25 points to 1,642.25.
