C O : Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong -- Aug.
The gold price in Hong Kong went up 47 HK dollars to open at 8,755 HK dollars per tael on Friday.
The price is equivalent to 949.19 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 6.08 U.S. dollars at the latest exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7425 HK dollars.
