MW : Crude futures decline on pullback in Asian stocks
Light sweet crude-oil futures for October delivery slid 38 cents to $72.36 a barrel on Globex recently, unable to sustain gains after rising as high as $73.36 earlier in the session.
On Friday, the front-month contract added 25 cents, or 0.3%, to $72.74 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange after data showed U.S. consumer spending increased for a third straight month on raised economic hopes.
