BLBG: Dollar Drops to Lowest Level in Almost Year Against Euro
By Oliver Biggadike and Ye Xie
Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The dollar declined to the weakest level versus the euro in almost a year as an increase in America’s industrial output last month encouraged investors to sell the U.S. currency and buy higher-yielding assets.
The dollar slid 0.4 percent to $1.4718 per euro at 12:21 p.m. in New York, from $1.4658 yesterday. It reached $1.4724, the weakest level since Sept. 25, 2008.
