BLBG : South Korea Buys 2,000 Tons of Zinc Ingot at Tender
Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) --South Korea’s Public Procurement Service, a state-run body that manages strategic commodities, bought 2,000 metric tons of zinc ingot in a tender today.
The agency purchased the metals at a premium of $136.50 a ton over the London Metal Exchange official cash settlement price, Jang June Son, an official at the state agency, said by phone. Korea Zinc Co. and Young Poong Corp. will provide 1,000 tons each with a minimum purity of 99.995 percent, she said.
Yesterday, the agency bought 1,000 tons of zinc from Hanwha Corp.
