New Delhi, Sep 18 Prices of select base metals fell by Rs 2 per kg on the non-ferrous metal market here today largely in line with weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange.
Trading sentiments turned bearish as three-month delivery copper on the London Metal Exchange lost 1.6 per cent to 6,280 dollar, lead by 4.4 per cent to 2,176 dollar and nickel by 1.9 per cent to 17,240 dollar a ton.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were down by Rs 2 each at Rs 322, Rs 343 and Rs 302 per kg.
Nickel (4x4), mostly used by steel makers, traded lower by the same margin at 870-980 and lead ingot and lead imported shed Rs 2 each at Rs 119 and Rs 123 per kg.
