MW: Crude oil futures slump but still rise on the week

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil futures fell for a second day on Friday as the dollar continued to firm after hitting yearly lows earlier this week. Crude oil for October delivery fell 44 cents, or 0.6%, to $72.02 a barrel. Crude is still up 3.9% on the week so far, after rallying on upbeat U.S. economic news, a bigger-than-expected drop in U.S. inventories, and a weakening dollar.
