BLBG: Europe Energy Day Ahead: Oil Little Changed; Chevron Finds Gas

Oct. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil traded little changed in New York after rising above $79 a barrel for the first time in a year on speculation demand will increase as the global economy recovers from recession.
Chevron Corp., operator of the A$43 billion ($39 billion) Gorgon liquefied natural gas project, said it has made a discovery off Western Australia that may support an expansion of the venture.
