NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks climbed at Tuesday's start, with energy shares among those advancing as crude neared $79 a barrel. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU 9,918, +50.03, +0.51%) added 46.10 points to 9,914.06. The S&P 500 Index (SPX 1,070, +2.82, +0.26%) gained 4.08 points to 1,071.02. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP 2,142, +0.50, +0.02%) rose 4.82 points to 2,146.67. |
