MT: Shanghai copper gains capped by inventory rise
Copper on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) gained alongside bullish stock markets on Friday although gains were capped by increased inventory. The most active SHFE copper contract for February delivery ended at 51,360 yuan ($7,523) per tonne, up 570 yuan or 1.1% from the previous official, as inventory rose 1.4% over the week.
