RTRS: Nikkei edges down as yen weighs, Canon gains
TOKYO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average edged down 0.6 percent on Tuesday, with exporters such as Sony Corp (6758.T) weighed down by a strong yen and investors moving to lock in profits in the face of long-term uncertainty about the economy. Bucking the trend, Canon Inc (7751.T) climbed 3 percent after it said on Monday it plans to buy Dutch copier and printer maker Oce (OCEN.AS) for 730 million euros ($1.1 billion), in a challenge to rivals Ricoh (7752.T) and Xerox (XRX.N).
