NEW DELHI: Silver futures prices fell by 0.70 per cent on Thursday on sustained selling by traders influenced by a weakening global trend.
Silver for far-month May contract fell by 0.70 per cent to Rs 29,211 per kg with a business turnover of 377 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in March month contract declined by 0.68 per cent to Rs 29,048 per kg with a business turnover of 9545 and December month contract by 0.57 per cent to Rs 28,896 per kg in 69 lots.
Marketmen said sustained selling by traders in tandem with a weakening global trend mainly led to fall in silver prices at futures market.
Meanwhile, silver lost 1.1 per cent at 18.61 dollar an ounce in Asian region. - PTI
