MW: Energy stocks rise ahead of oil supply data, Fed

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose out of the gate on Wednesday ahead of an announcement on interest rates from the Federal Open Market Committee and a morning update on petroleum stockpiles in the U.S. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,058, +6.48, +0.62%) rose 0.6% to 1,057. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 528.72, +2.65, +0.50%) rose 0.4% to 528. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 192.65, +1.73, +0.91%) rose 0.5% to 192.
