NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks maintained a modest advance Tuesday after the National Association of Realtors reported the sale of exisiting homes rose 7.4% in November. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU 10,472, +58.12, +0.56%) gained 47.92 points to 10,462.06. The S&P 500 Index (SPX 1,120, +6.22, +0.56%) rose 4.16 points to 1,118.21. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP 2,251, +13.55, +0.61%) climbed 10.67 points to 2,248.33. |
