NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose Monday after four straight trading days of losses. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,056, +17.90, +1.72%) rose 1% to 1,048 after trading to its lowest level in three months in the previous session. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 551.37, +10.67, +1.97%) rose 0.8% to 545. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 200.86, +3.82, +1.94%) rose 0.8% to 199. Halliburton (HAL 30.40, -0.75, -2.41%) fell 3% to $30.18 after its fourth-quarter earnings update.
