MT: Nickel leads base metals higher in early trading
Nickel rose by nearly $600 per tonne in early trading on the London Metal Exchange on Tuesday, leading the rest of the complex upwards as Chinese sellers remain out of the market due to the lunar holiday. Three-month nickel opened the day at $19,300 per tonne from its settlement price in Monday’s officials of $19,050/070 per tonne.
