(Newsroom America) -- The price of a barrel of oil rose to nearly $92 on early trading Friday, as the U.S. dollar fell against the euro and demand for crude improved.
The price for Brent North Sea crude for delivery in February rose 29 cents to $91.89, while light sweet crude for deliver in January rose 16 cents to $87.86 in New York.
Markets improved as the European Union moved to shore up the euro following a huge ratings downgrade due to the bank crisis in Ireland and worsening debt problems in Spain.
