Treasurys slip; 2-year auction on tap
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasury prices declined in early U.S. activity on Monday, with the main scheduled event for the day being the Treasury Department's auction of 2-year notes (UST2YR 0.69, +0.04, +5.65%) . Analysts at RBS Securities and CRT Capital Group noted the possibility that the government will postpone its sale if it feels a snowstorm on the East Coast is reducing liquidity too much. Yields on benchmark 10-year notes (UST10Y 3.42, +0.02, +0.65%) , which move inversely to prices, rose 2 basis points to 3.41%.
