Dec 28 (Reuters) - The dollar fell to a record low against the Swiss franc on Tuesday, tumbling around 1.5 percent in thin trade.
The dollar dropped as low as 0.9439 francs CHF=, according to Reuters data, breaking below the previous record low in October at around 0.9461 francs.
The Swiss franc also gained against the euro, which fell around 1 percent to 1.2495 francs EURCHF=, according to Reuters data.
Traders said the currency gained support as investors sought the safe-haven unit ahead of the year-end, although they said trade was extremely thin. (Reporting by London Forex team)
