RACINE — A missing cap from a gas line led to a natural gas leak on the city’s north side Sunday afternoon.
A high concentration of natural gas was found in an unoccupied home in the 3100 block of LaSalle Street. The odor was noticed from the street, and the Racine Fire and Police departments went to the home at 1:52 p.m.
Firefighters were still on scene several hours later clearing gas from the home. There were no injuries.
