NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose in early action as crude oil and the broad equities market provided support. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,220, +9.43, +0.78%) rose 0.8% to 1,220. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 614.73, +4.28, +0.70%) rose 0.6% to 614. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 241.12, -2.84, -1.16%) rose 1.3% to 244. Crude oil futures rose 1% to $90.19. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA 11,682, +44.12, +0.38%) rose 0.4%.
