RTRS: Gold priced in sterling slips to 4-month low
Feb 2 (Reuters) - Sterling-priced gold hit its lowest since late September on Wednesday as the pound hit a three-month low versus the dollar and spot prices were pressured by growing optimism over the outlook for the global recovery.
The British currency was buoyed by hawkish central bank comments that supported the view that UK interest rates are set to head higher, and by data showing UK construction activity returned to growth in January. [GBP/]
