BS: Gold Reef, RMB Holdings, Sappi: South African Stock Preview

Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in South Africa. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
South Africa’s FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index declined for a second day, falling 11.37, or less than 0.1 percent, to 32,788.86 at the 5 p.m. close in Johannesburg.
Gold Reef Resorts Ltd. (GDF SJ): The gaming and casino company today presents legal arguments in favor of its merger with Tsogo Sun Holdings at the Competition Tribunal. Gold Reef slipped 1.29 rand, or 7.2 percent, to 16.65 rand.
Italtile Ltd. (ITE SJ): The ceramic-tile retailer said that wreckage assumed to be the group’s company airplane was found in the Robberg area near Plettenberg Bay on South Africa’s south coast. Two crew and seven passengers were on board the flight and their names won’t be released until their relatives have been notified, the company said in a statement today. The shares fell 5 cents, or 1.2 percent, to 4.20 rand.
RMB Holdings Ltd. (RMH SJ): The South African investment company today issues 72.4 million shares to Royal Bafokeng Holdings Ltd. as part of the latter’s 2.5 billion-rand ($349 million) acquisition of 5 percent in the listed financial services company. RMB fell 39 cents, or 1 percent, to 37.16 rand.
Sappi Ltd. (SAP SJ): The world’s largest producer of glossy magazine paper releases earnings for the first quarter through December. Sappi climbed 15 cents, or 0.4 percent, to 38.51 rand.
Sekunjalo Investments Ltd. (SKJ SJ): The investment group holds a shareholders’ annual meeting. The shares were unchanged at 43 cents.
Shares or American depositary receipts of the following South African companies closed as follows:
Anglo American Plc (AAUKY US) slipped less than 0.1 percent to $27.29. AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (AU US) rose 3.1 percent to $46.37. BHP Billiton Ltd. (BBL US) advanced 0.6 percent to $82.38. DRDGold Ltd. (DROOY US) added 2.4 percent to $4.75. Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI US) increased 2 percent to $16.53. Harmony Gold Mining Co. (HMY US) gained 1.6 percent to $11.24. Impala Platinum Holdings (IMPUY US) gained 0.5 percent to $29.26. Sappi Ltd. (SPP US) climbed 2.6 percent to $5.49. Sasol Ltd. (SSL US) added 0.3 percent to $51.80.
