WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- An index of consumer sentiment rose in February, according to media reports of a poll released Friday by Thomson Reuters and the University of Michigan. The gauge rose to 75.1 from 74.2 in January. Economists polled by MarketWatch had expected a February reading of 75.
