                  MW: Construction spending falls 0.5% in February                   |

                            | Spending on construction declined 0.5% in February to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.14 billion, the Commerce Department said Friday. 
 That was a decline from an upwardly-revised January, and outlays were higher than year-ago levels by 10.3% in February.
 
 Economists polled by MarketWatch had forecast a 0.1% gain.
 
 Residential construction rose 0.9% in February, and was 10.5% higher than a year ago.
